Senator Miller moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Resources Committee Substitute offered on page 876. Without objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 132(RES) "An Act relating to loans for the purchase of individual fishery quota shares; and providing for an effective date" was adopted. CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 132(RES) was read the second time. Senator Little offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 2, line 9: add new subsection: "(c) It is the intent of the legislature that the authority granted by this Act be implemented without adversely affecting the availability of funds in the commercial fishing revolving loan fund for loans to purchase entry permits and to purchase, repair, restore or upgrade vessel gear." Senator Little moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Miller objected. Senator Little moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be withdrawn. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Little offered Amendment No. 1 A: Page 2, line 9: Insert a new bill subsection to read: 1993-04-12 Senate Journal Page 1315 SB 132 "(c) It is the intent of the legislature that the authority granted by this Act be implemented without affecting the commercial fishing revolving loan fund for loans to purchase entry permits and to purchase, repair, restore, or upgrade vessels and gear." Senator Adams offered Amendment No. 2 : Page 4, line 23: Delete $300,000 Insert $100,000 Page 4, lines 24 through 27: Delete "Either $300,000 or the amount received by the borrower as loans for the purchase of individual fishery quota shares from a recipient of a community development quota." Page 4, line 25: Insert $100,000 Senator Adams moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Senator Taylor objected. Senator Rieger moved and asked unanimous consent that he be allowed to abstain from voting due to a conflict of interest. Objections were heard. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 2 be adopted?"
